Freeland Footpaths

There are 10 Public Rights of Way in Freeland: Two of these are Bridleways  (BR-1 and BR-2) - roads suitable for horse riders or walkers but not vehicles, and eight are Footpaths (FP-3 to FP-10) - suitable only for walkers

They fan out from the Village:

(a) to the East (FP-5 and FP-6)

  1. (b)to the West (FP-7 and FP-10)

  2. (c)to the South BR-2, FP-3 and FP-4 and

  3. (d)to the Southwest (BR-1, FP-8 and FP-9).

The Freeland footpaths (shown in red) connect with footpaths of neighbouring villages (shown in blue)

Circular walks

Martin Shann and Peter Newell plan to walk routes around Freeland and provide detailed guides, photographs and notes on interesting things to see along the way.

The first THREE of these have now been completed.
